Following 5 or 6 years in so-called 'development hell', which I think is a film and television industry term used to describe when a film or television OR audiobook and script project gets paused for a seemingly endless timeframe... New sentence.

I am happy and nervous to release this project called The Simple Critic, which- Let me copy and paste the information I posted on the Facebook page which is always open- follows the probably boring life of a character called the Simple Critic.

Great first impression!

In a few words, The Simple Critic judges every thing, object, and person with a simple set of grunts. For example, a 'Hmph' in response to seeing litter on grass in a park and picking it up to dispose of it. Hmph.

Concerning the story, The Simple Critic is out at a park, watching videos on his smartphone while sat on a park bench. Perhaps, going outdoors to a park could become a regular activity in the Simple Critic's life. In the future!
Later, while using a nearby toilet facility, - also a typical activity - a strange and annoying person, dressed like one of those Queen's Foot Guards, shows up and disturbs the Simple Critic's day. In the most ridiculous fashion.

If the above whets your appetite for listening to or reading the Simple Critic project, feel free to do just that! You are also free to glaze over, which for my future reminder, means to stop showing interest because one is bored or tired, and listen to or read a comparably better short audiobook or script. I could not care less!

One more thing: The speaking tone and speed in this audio companion sound different to that heard in the script reading video released on 10th January 2023. I know.

Also, if you are listening to the audio companion or reading the script after watching another video containing a script reading of the final scene, no troubles. Whichever order you decide on to listen to or read the release items, said order is up to you!
